The Jewelry Making technique called openwork has been widely used in Florence since the time of the Renaissance, beginners and it’s one of these techniques that can be only taught here.

Students will learn to make various objects, such as rings, pendant head, pieces, bangle, bracelets, and other original works. depending on the duration of the study and speed.

For basic lessons, motifs of flowers and leaves often used during the Renaissance are used. After learning basic techniques, students can challenge making jewelry with different designs.

In the Jewelry Design course, students will be introduced to graphical representation techniques of jewels and gemstones, learning effectively how to merge aesthetics with functionality. First, students will be introduced to hand-sketching techniques, and then develop their personal projects through the use of professional software, exploring their own aesthetic sense and originality. The curriculum addresses many topics, including the study of the light refraction, color theory, technical drawing, perspective drawing, gemology.
