At Accademia Riaci, we do not just teach interior design; we encourage every student to access and nurture their own natural sense of flair and creativity that they can then turn into reality. Students are taught to understand the needs of people and create designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. Classes will focus on Italian interior design, renowned for the world’s best sensibility in color, and minimalism, and for its superior taste. The course covers all aspects of interior design, from furniture design, and color theory to spatial planning and furnishing. Instructors will give individually tailored advice to each student, whether they are beginners, amateurs, or professionals. This course is for new designers, students looking to improve their portfolios, or professionals wanting to revisit the basics. Instructor: The instructor was the head designer of an interior design firm in charge of planning and designing the Ferragamo boutiques. He taught at the Institute of Art of Florence for more than 30 years and gained a high mark on his teaching methodology, and many excellent designers have grown under his instruction. Besides being still active as a professional designer, since 1999, he is in charge as a full professor of the Interior Design department at Accademia Riaci.
